Cash Reward, Plots Of Land And National Honors Given To Super Eagles For AFCON Win

Yesterday during a special reception in Abuja, the Super Eagles were rewarded for coming out tops at the just concluded AFCON 2013. President Jonathan announced that  National Honors, millions of naira and plots of land in Abuja will be given to the victorious Eagles.
  • Coach Stephen Keshi was conferred with the honor of Commander of the Order of Niger, as well as  N10million. Plot of land in Abuja
  • Asst Coach Daniel Amokachi  was conferred with the honor of Officer of the Order of Niger, as well as    N5m. Plot of land in Abuja
  • Asst Coach Ike Shorumuwas conferred with the honor of  Officer of the Order of Niger. N5m, as well as lot of land in Abuja
  • Captain Joseph Yobo was conferred with the honour of  Officer of the Order of Niger, as well as   5million. Plot of land in Abuja
  • Super Eagles players was conferred with the honour of  Member of the Order of Niger, as well as   5million. Plot of land in Abuja
  • Technical crew got N2 million 
Also,Billionaire businessmen Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia and Emeka Ofor gave $500,000 each to the Super Eagles.
Earlier, Africa's richest man Dangote had donated N5m to each player and technical crew of the Super Eagles while Mike Adenuga  gave them $1,000,000.
The President told the victorious Eagles:
“The lesson in your victory for all of us is that we should never give up in the midst of criticism. Believe in yourself. With time, you will see the fruits of your labour.”
